Well all my bags are packed and I'm ready to go! Tomorrow I'll be boarding a train to Stamford, CT where I will be meeting up with my brother knights from across the country. We will be having a mini-retreat in order to better get acquainted prior to our departure on Tuesday when we will fly to Madrid! I'm very excited yet a little anxious at the same time to be meeting so many new people and to volunteer at the Love and Life center. Fortunately one of my good friends from the University of Maryland will also be attending so we will be traveling together as well as some of our friends from the Knights of Columbus council at the Catholic University of America.
Please pray that we may have safe travels and that we will remain safe while on the ground! Additionally, please pray that all of those attending will come away, "Planted and built up in Jesus Christ, firm in the faith" (Saint Paul), the theme of this World Youth Day. As I said, I'm so excited for this opportunity and I can't wait to share this all with you!
